Twelfth grader Ben Joniak, 17, reads a deadly story of domestic violence Sept. 24 at Patriot Learning Center in Falcon School District 49. Lolita Raghunandan, 32, was found murdered Sept. 15, 2003, with her two children. She had obtained a restraining order against her husband, who was out on bond at the time he shot his family. A group of high school students had created tributes for 82 victims of domestic violence in El Paso and Teller counties.
