Colorado School Honors Former Teacher, Fallen Airman

A new scoreboard, tied with a ribbon, awaits a dedication ceremony for Air Force Maj. Philip Ambard on Aug. 13 at Stetson Elementary School in Falcon School District 49. Philip Ambard had worked as a substitute physical education teacher at the school. During the 2010-2011 school year, he deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan. He died April 27, 2011, of injuries from small arms fire at the North Kabul International Airport.
